Claude Code Not Understanding My Codebase – Need Help

I’ve been trying to use Claude Code on an existing software project but the outputs are honestly hit or miss. Sometimes it gives good code, but most of the time it misunderstands architecture, suggests things that don’t fit the repo, or forgets important context. I suspect my setup/context is wrong. Need someone who can: Review how I’m using Claude Code Help Claude better understand my repo Create a proper CLAUDE.md Improve prompting/workflow Make outputs more reliable Goal is to turn Claude into an actual coding assistant instead of me constantly correcting it. Would prefer someone with real hands-on Claude Code experience.
