AI + GIS Developer for Infrastructure Automation

Job Description We are looking for an experienced developer / solution architect to help us build an AI-based tool for creating public infrastructure notices. The goal is to allow a user to describe an infrastructure work area in natural language, and have the system generate: A relevant map showing the affected area Marked streets, work zones, closures, or access routes A structured internal brief A public-facing announcement text for residents Different versions of the text for website, WhatsApp, social media, and SMS Example Use Case A user enters something like: “Road infrastructure works on Herzl Street, between Weizmann Street and Bialik Street, from Sunday to Thursday. One lane will be closed, resident access only.” The system should help generate: A map with the relevant street segment marked A clear description of the affected area A public notice text A shorter version for WhatsApp / SMS A more formal version for a municipal website Required Experience Please apply only if you have proven experience with similar projects involving: Google Maps API / Google Maps Platform GIS systems / geospatial data / map layers AI / LLM-based text generation Natural language processing for location-based input Generating structured content from user prompts Building user-friendly web interfaces Optional: ArcGIS, Mapbox, OpenStreetMap, or municipal GIS systems Important Requirement We are not looking for a basic chatbot developer only. We need someone who understands how to combine AI with maps, location data, street segments, and public communication workflows. Main Deliverables Technical recommendation for the best architecture Small working POC / prototype Ability to enter natural language instructions Map preview with selected/marked area Ability for the user to approve or adjust the map AI-generated public notice text Export/copy options for different communication channels Preferred Skills Google Maps API GIS / Geocoding / Places API / Directions API AI / OpenAI / Azure OpenAI / Claude or similar React / Next.js / Vue / Angular Node.js / Python / .NET Experience with public sector, municipalities, infrastructure, or transportation projects is a plus Questions for Applicants Please answer the following questions when applying: Have you built any AI + map/GIS solution before?
