Node.js + React Developer – AI-First Platform Development (Claude Code CLI)

Overview We're looking for a developer to join ongoing work on a multi-app SaaS platform built on Node.js/Express/MySQL (backend) and React/Vite (frontend). The role is fully remote and async. This is not a traditional dev role. All development is done exclusively through Claude Code (Anthropic's AI CLI tool) — you write prompts, review AI-generated code, catch mistakes, guide the AI through complex tasks, and verify the output. You do NOT write code manually from scratch. If you're not already using Claude Code or a similar AI dev tool daily, this role isn't for you. --- What you'll work on - New features across 3 apps (fintech data, digital marketing, sports) - Backend entity creation and database migrations - REST API endpoints (Express) - Frontend pages and components (React, functional + hooks) - Bug fixes, refactors, test coverage (Node.js built-in test runner + Playwright E2E) - Cron jobs, integrations with external APIs --- Your actual day-to-day 1. Pick a task from the backlog 2. Open the terminal, launch claude in the project root 3. Prompt Claude through the implementation — reading existing code, understanding patterns, making decisions 4. Review every file Claude touches before accepting 5. Run tests, verify behavior, confirm nothing broke 6. Commit and report done You are the senior judgment layer on top of Claude. The AI does the typing; you do the thinking. --- Required - 3+ years experience with Node.js and React (you need to recognize good vs bad code) - Actively uses Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar AI dev tools in real work - Comfortable reading and understanding code you didn't write - Solid grasp of REST APIs, SQL schemas, React hooks - Can work async and independently — no hand-holding - Fluent written English Nice to have - Experience with Keycloak (auth), Vault (secrets), Docker - MySQL / relational DB schema design - Playwright or any E2E testing experience --- Engagement - Type: Hourly, long-term - Hours: Flexible, 10–30h/week depending on backlog - Communication: Async (written updates, no mandatory calls) - Rate: Open to proposals — looking for value, not cheapest --- How to apply In your cover letter, answer these two questions: 1.
