Senior React Native Technical Advisor (Part-Time)

We're building a mobile coaching application in the health and behavior change space. The backend platform is already under active development with a dedicated backend developer. I'm looking for an experienced React Native Technical Advisor to work directly with me a few hours each week. This is not a full-time development position. We have a full-time development team. This contract will start with just a couple (2-3) hours a week and it may not be weekly, as we need to take our time with building. As always, this could lead to more hours as the project ships on the app stores. The role is to review architecture, identify potential problems before they become expensive, and help guide technical decisions as we prepare for a production mobile app. I'm specifically looking for someone who has already shipped successful React Native applications and understands the challenges that only appear later in development. Examples include: App architecture Authentication and user management Push notifications Apple App Store & Google Play requirements Performance and scalability Offline behavior Analytics and crash reporting Long-term maintainability The goal is to help us avoid expensive redesigns by making good decisions early. Requirements Multiple apps published to both the Apple App Store and Google Play Experience with Expo Experience designing production-quality mobile applications Comfortable reviewing an existing architecture and explaining why something should change, not just what to change When applying, please include: Tell me about one architectural decision you recommended that saved your team from a larger problem later.
