We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Front-End Developer to translate our Figma design into a clean, lightweight, and lightning-fast website.
The site is relatively simple and requires standard HTML, CSS, and minimal Vanilla JavaScript. We are not looking for heavy frameworks (like React or Angular) for this project. The primary focus is on absolute top-tier performance, flawless responsiveness, modern web standards, and a strict version-controlled workflow.
Project Deliverables & Requirements:
• Pixel-Perfect Conversion: Accurately translate our Figma designs into clean, semantic HTML5 and CSS3.
• 100% Fully Responsive: The site must look and function perfectly across all devices (mobile, tablet, laptop, large desktop) using fluid layouts and modern CSS (Flexbox/Grid).
• High Performance & Speed: The site must load as fast as possible. We expect a score of 95+ on Google PageSpeed Insights for both Mobile and Desktop.
• Asset Optimization: Implementation of lazy loading for all images and media, plus optimized asset delivery (WebP formats, minified CSS/JS).
• Strict ADA Compliance: The site must be fully accessible and meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. This includes semantic HTML markup, proper ARIA attributes, sufficient color contrast, and full keyboard navigability.
• Minimal JavaScript: Keep JS to an absolute minimum, relying on Vanilla JS only where necessary for interactivity. No heavy libraries or dependencies.
• Clean & Maintainable Code: Code must be well-organized, properly commented, and follow modern best practices.
Workflow & Deployment Requirements:
• Git Version Control: All work must be strictly managed via Git. We require regular, incremental commits with clear, descriptive commit messages documenting your progress.
• Automated Pipeline: You will not be given direct access to our production servers. All code must be pushed to our repository, where our automated CI/CD pipeline will handle building and deploying the code to staging and production.
What We Will Provide:
• Complete Figma design files.
• All necessary image assets, fonts, and copywriting.
• Access to our Git repository.
To Apply, Please Provide:
1. Links to 2-3 recent projects where you converted a design to vanilla HTML/CSS/JS.
2. A brief explanation of your approach to ensuring high PageSpeed scores and ADA compliance.
3. Confirmation that you are comfortable working with incremental Git commits and automated deployment pipelines.
4. Your estimated timeline for completing a standard 1-page to 3-page site with these strict requirements.
Please start your proposal with the word "Lightweight" so I know you have read the full job description.
