Dev & Design Elements for Custom Content Management System

We are currently rebuilding our proprietary Content Management System, CoreContent 2.0, potentially using the latest Laravel framework with FilamentPHP as the administrative foundation. (we are still open to other cms packages for laravel) The core architecture and backend development are already underway with our internal development team and a senior technical consultant. We are now looking for an experienced UI/UX Product Designer to help define the visual identity, usability, and overall user experience of the platform. This is much more than designing a website. We are building a modern, AI-powered content management platform that will be used daily by marketing professionals, content editors, sales teams, and business owners to manage websites, product catalogs, service offerings, digital marketing campaigns, and customer lead generation. What We're Looking For We're seeking a designer who thinks like a product designer—not just a visual designer. The ideal candidate has experience designing: SaaS applications Content Management Systems (CMS) Administrative dashboards Marketing platforms Business applications Design systems and reusable UI libraries Most importantly, we're looking for someone who enjoys improving workflows and simplifying complex software into intuitive user experiences. Primary Responsibilities Dashboard Design Design a modern administrative dashboard that serves as the primary workspace for users. This includes: Dashboard layout Navigation Analytics widgets Search experience Notifications User profile experience Mobile responsiveness Overall information architecture CMS User Experience Design intuitive interfaces for managing: Website pages Product catalogs Service pages Media library SEO tools Forms User administration AI-powered content tools Publishing workflows The goal is to create an editing experience that is powerful while remaining approachable for non-technical users. Front-End Website Concept Develop a sample front-end website concept that demonstrates the design direction for websites built on CoreContent 2.0. The concept should include: Homepage Interior page Product page Service page Mobile layouts Responsive behavior Modern UI components Rather than producing a single custom design, the objective is to establish a flexible visual framework that can be adapted across future client projects. Design System Help establish a reusable design system that will become the foundation for future websites. This includes defining: Typography Color palettes Icons Buttons Forms Cards Navigation styles Grid system Spacing standards Reusable interface components Workflow & Process Improvement One of the most important objectives of this engagement is improving how design integrates into our overall development process. We're looking for someone who can collaborate with our team to create a more efficient, scalable workflow from initial concept through development.
