Senior Software Engineer (AI/LLM + Full Stack) — Fast-Moving Startup

About the Role We're a fast-growing startup building an AI-powered language learning platform, and we need a Senior Software Engineer who can move as fast as we do. This isn't a "wait for the spec" role — we need someone who can jump into ambiguity, figure out the structure of a problem in real time, and ship working product the same day. If you're the kind of engineer who gets bored in slow-moving environments, who's genuinely excited by AI tooling and wants to build with it (not just talk about it), this is for you. What You'll Do Build and ship features across our web app and mobile app — full stack, front to back Design and integrate AI/LLM-powered features (content generation, personalization, adaptive learning flows, etc.) Work directly in Replit, using Claude and Cursor as core parts of your daily workflow Debug fast, under pressure, with incomplete information — you'll often be untangling systems you didn't build Understand and improve existing code structure and architecture quickly, without needing a long onboarding runway Move between projects and priorities as the startup's needs shift week to week Take a feature from "napkin idea" to deployed, working product with minimal hand-holding What We're Looking For Proven expertise in AI/LLM development — you understand prompting, tool use, context management, and how to build real product features on top of models like Claude Strong full-stack experience — comfortable across web and mobile, front end and back end Fluency with Replit, Cursor, and Claude as everyday tools (not just familiarity — real hands-on speed with them) Excellent debugging instincts — you can read unfamiliar code, find the actual problem fast, and fix it Strong grasp of software architecture — you can look at a system and quickly understand how the pieces fit together Startup mentality — hungry, resourceful, and comfortable with ambiguity.
