IBM Data Stage Developer

IBM DataStage Developer (Healthcare ETL) | Remote | 8 AM – 5 PM CST Overlap Required Job Overview We are seeking an experienced IBM DataStage Developer to support a healthcare data integration project. The ideal candidate has strong experience building and supporting enterprise ETL solutions using IBM DataStage and SQL. This is a remote contract opportunity. Candidates must be able to provide reliable overlap with 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM U.S. Central Time (CST) for collaboration with the project team. ⸻ Responsibilities * Develop, enhance, and maintain IBM DataStage ETL jobs. * Analyze business and technical requirements. * Build and optimize ETL workflows for large healthcare datasets. * Develop complex SQL queries and stored procedures. * Troubleshoot ETL failures and optimize performance. * Participate in code reviews and testing. * Work closely with business analysts and data engineers. * Document technical designs and deployment procedures. ⸻ Required Skills * 5+ years of IBM DataStage development experience * Strong SQL skills (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or similar) * ETL design and data warehousing experience * Performance tuning and job optimization * Error handling and troubleshooting * Unix/Linux scripting * Git or other version control systems * Excellent written and verbal English communication Preferred Experience Experience with one or more of the following is a plus: * Azure Data Factory * Databricks or Apache Spark * Python * Snowflake * Azure ⸻ Availability Requirements * Must have overlap with 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM U.S. Central Time (CST). * Ability to attend scheduled team meetings during CST business hours. * Responsive communication during agreed working hours. ⸻ What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who: * Writes clean, maintainable ETL code * Takes ownership of assigned work * Communicates proactively * Delivers high-quality solutions on schedule * Enjoys solving complex data integration problems ⸻ To Apply Please include: 1.
