AI-Focused Full-Stack Developer (Hourly / Part-Time, Remote)

About us: - We’re a small, hands-on AI studio that builds real products for real businesses. - Most of our work is turning messy, manual processes into automated workflows and AI-powered tools. - We use things like n8n, Make, Zapier, Python, and React to connect systems and ship fast. - We build conversational chatbots, customer-support assistants, and custom AI agents around models like Claude and OpenAI. - Our clients are mostly SMEs and digital businesses that want concrete results, not buzzwords. - Projects range from professional services and clinics to ecommerce and local businesses, always with a focus on impact and scalability. Role: - Full-Stack Developer with strong backend and database skills. - Focus on building and scaling AI-powered applications and internal tools. - Remote, async-friendly collaboration. What you'll do: - Review existing projects and codebases to understand current architecture and implementation. - Improve, refactor, and optimize ongoing projects to make them more robust, maintainable, and scalable. - Design and build backend systems and REST APIs when new features are needed. - Model and manage databases using MySQL (and similar relational databases). - Develop scalable application logic using Python. - Build and maintain frontend components and pages using React when needed. - Integrate AI models (Claude, OpenAI, etc.) into real-world workflows and products. - Work on automation workflows and AI agents connected to existing tools and APIs. - Collaborate with the founder/technical team to scope features, review tasks, and estimate effort. Who we're looking for: - 3+ years of experience in software development (backend or full-stack). - Experience working with production systems and real users. - Strong experience with relational databases (MySQL or similar). - Solid programming skills in Python. - Experience with React or other modern frontend frameworks. - Familiarity with AI integrations (Claude, OpenAI, or similar APIs). - Understanding of scalable system design and clean architecture principles. - Comfortable working independently and communicating in an async environment. Nice to have: - Experience with automation tools (n8n, Make, Zapier). - Experience building SaaS products or internal tools. - Basic understanding of DevOps concepts (Docker, simple deployments, logs).
