Improve SkillMatch & host on AWS

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack / DevOps engineer with AI/ML experience to improve and deploy our existing AI-powered hiring platform (SkillMatch) to AWS. This is not a new project or a rebuild. The platform is already functional, and we need someone to make it production-ready by improving security, reliability, AI matching performance, and deployment. -About the Platform SkillMatch is an AI-assisted hiring platform that connects candidates with suitable job opportunities and helps companies find the right talent faster. - The platform supports: Candidates uploading resumes, receiving skill-based job recommendations, applying for jobs, and managing interviews. Employers posting job openings, reviewing applicants, managing hiring pipelines, and scheduling interviews. Admins managing users and platform access. The platform currently includes a resume-based job matching system. We need the AI matching component to be reviewed, improved, and optimized. The freelancer should be able to fine-tune the existing matching model or develop a new AI matching system from scratch if required to improve accuracy and relevance. The AI system should support two-way matching: Candidate → Job Matching Analyze candidate resumes, skills, experience, education, and preferences. Recommend relevant job opportunities based on similarity and suitability. Job → Candidate Head Hunting When an employer creates a new job posting, the system should automatically analyze the job requirements and recommend the most suitable candidates from the existing talent pool. Rank candidates based on skills, experience, job requirements, and overall compatibility. Provide recruiters with a shortlist of recommended candidates. The goal is to build a smarter recruitment engine that reduces manual screening and helps recruiters discover suitable candidates faster. -Tech Stack Next.js 15 Node.js / Express Prisma + MySQL Python Flask (resume parsing & AI matching service) Docker & Docker Compose Machine Learning / NLP models for resume-job matching What You'll Do Improve authentication and application security Move secrets and configuration to secure environment management Clean up legacy code where necessary Improve API validation, error handling, and overall reliability Review and improve the existing resume-job matching system Fine-tune the current AI matching model or develop a new model from scratch if required Build an intelligent candidate recommendation system for employer job postings Improve resume parsing, skill extraction, candidate ranking, and job recommendation accuracy Design an AI matching pipeline for two-way recruitment recommendations Deploy the application to AWS using production best practices Configure Docker, HTTPS, database, storage, monitoring, and CI/CD Provide deployment documentation and a handover guide Preferred AWS Services ECS or EC2 Amazon RDS (MySQL) Amazon S3 ECR Application Load Balancer AWS Secrets Manager / Parameter Store CloudWatch GitHub Actions for CI/CD We're open to alternative architectures if they provide a better balance of reliability, scalability, and cost. -Required Skills AWS Docker Next.js Node.js / Express Prisma & MySQL DevOps / CI/CD GitHub Actions Python Flask Machine Learning / NLP Recommendation systems Resume parsing / talent matching systems -Experience with: Semantic search Embedding models Vector databases Ranking algorithms NLP-based candidate matching is highly preferred.
