# Context
I have an existing monitoring application built with Bun.js and Patchright that previously worked with a public warehouse hiring portal.
The portal publishes job opportunities at irregular intervals, and those opportunities are often filled very quickly. My application previously detected newly available listings through the same client-side data used by the website and worked reliably for a significant period of time.
Around six months ago, the website changed. Since then, the requests used by my application still complete successfully, but the responses consistently return an empty result, even during periods when new job opportunities are known to be available.
At the same time, other independent monitoring services still appear able to detect newly posted opportunities and publish notifications shortly after they become available. This suggests that the website continues to expose the information through its normal client-side application flow, but my existing implementation may no longer be following the correct request sequence, session context, filters, or data-processing logic.
# Goal
I am looking for an experienced JavaScript developer with strong browser debugging and web application analysis skills who can determine why my existing integration no longer receives the expected data.
The objective is to understand the current client-side behavior of the website and update my monitoring application so that it remains compatible with the latest version of the public-facing application.
# Scope of Work
The selected developer should be able to:
* Analyze browser network activity using Chrome DevTools or similar tools.
* Compare the website’s current client-side behavior with the requests used by my existing application.
* Review relevant client-side JavaScript and request flows.
* Determine whether the issue is related to request parameters, cookies, headers, authentication state, location filters, session context, pagination, caching, or another implementation change.
* Explain why the current requests return empty results.
* Document the findings and recommend the changes required to restore compatibility.
* Provide a small proof of concept, where appropriate, showing the corrected data-retrieval flow.
# Required Skills
* JavaScript and TypeScript
* Browser DevTools and network analysis
* Bun.js or Node.js
* Playwright, Patchright, Puppeteer, or similar browser automation tools
* HTTP APIs and modern front-end data flows
* GraphQL, WebSockets, or Server-Sent Events, where applicable
* Strong debugging and troubleshooting experience
# Additional Information
The target is a public warehouse hiring portal operated by a third party. The website address is included in the attachment for reference.
This project is limited to analyzing publicly accessible client-side behavior and diagnosing compatibility issues in my existing monitoring application. It does not involve accessing private systems, restricted accounts, or non-public data.
If you have experience debugging browser-based applications, analyzing client-side request flows, or updating integrations after website changes, please describe your relevant experience and general troubleshooting approach.
Exceptional work may qualify for an additional performance bonus.
