Fullstack Developer (React/Node) with mobile experience for our EdTech platform

We already have a working web‑based educational platform (dashboard for teachers, content management, analytics). Now we're building a mobile app for students (React Native) to watch lessons, complete assignments, and get push notifications. Our backend team is busy with new features, so we need a fullstack developer who can take ownership of the API layer for both web and mobile, and also help with the web frontend when needed. You'll work closely with our mobile developer and product owner. If you've done mobile‑backend integration before (offline sync, media uploads, real‑time updates), you'll feel right at home. Stack - Backend: Node.js (Express) + PostgreSQL (or MongoDB) - Web frontend: React (or Vue) - Mobile: React Native (experience required) - Real‑time: WebSockets (for live classes, chat) - Cloud: AWS / Docker (nice to have) What you’ll do - Design and maintain REST/GraphQL APIs that serve both web and mobile clients - Implement mobile‑specific features: push notifications, offline content caching, file uploads (images, video) - Build new backend endpoints for student progress tracking, quiz submissions, etc. - Occasionally contribute to the web dashboard (UI components, bug fixes) - Optimize database queries for scale (we have a growing user base) - Write tests and document your work What we’re looking for - 4+ years of fullstack development (commercial experience) - Strong experience with React Native (at least one production app) - Solid understanding of Node.js and relational databases - Experience with real‑time communication (WebSockets / Socket.io) - Ability to work independently in a remote team - Good communication skills in English Bonus: experience with education platforms or media streaming We're moving fast, we'd like someone to start within a week.
