React Native / Expo Developer for iOS and Android App

We are looking for a dependable developer to make ongoing improvements to an existing production mobile application. The immediate work is React Native with Expo, focused on iOS and Android: extending features, resolving bugs, improving UI flows, and integrating cleanly with the existing backend APIs. This is hands-on delivery work in an established repository, not a greenfield build. You should be comfortable reading an unfamiliar codebase, proposing a clear approach, testing on real devices, and shipping focused pull requests. What You Will Do Build and improve React Native interfaces using Expo for iOS and Android. Test iOS work on a physical iPhone or iPad and Android work on a physical device or emulator before submitting a pull request. Work with Apple App Store Connect for builds, TestFlight distribution, metadata, and release troubleshooting. Work with Expo Application Services (EAS), including development builds, signing, build failures, and over-the-air updates when appropriate. Work in the Django backend when needed to extend features, resolve bugs, and support mobile API integration. Investigate and resolve defects across the mobile app and API layers. Work from tickets, communicate blockers early, and provide concise progress updates. Submit clean, focused pull requests that follow the existing patterns and include relevant tests where practical. Required Experience Production experience with React Native and Expo. Experience shipping or maintaining an iOS app through TestFlight or the Apple App Store. Access to and routine use of a physical iOS device for testing. State the iPhone or iPad model and iOS version in your application. Experience with Android builds and Android device or emulator testing. Strong JavaScript or TypeScript, React, layout, and mobile UX fundamentals. Comfortable integrating mobile apps with REST APIs. Able to debug an existing mobile application rather than only build from templates. Clear written English and reliable communication. A portfolio, GitHub profile, or specific examples of production PHP + React work. Nice To Have PHP experience, particularly when working with an existing REST API. Django or Python experience. We use Django in other systems, so this creates opportunities for additional work. Experience with PostgreSQL, Docker, CI, EAS, and pull-request-based Git workflows. Experience improving an established mobile application safely and incrementally. Engagement Start with a small paid task to confirm code quality, communication, and fit.
