React Native community & academy app (iOS+Android)

Title: React Native community + academy app (iOS & Android) with WordPress backend and Mollie payments Overview: We are building an online academy and community for a Dutch personal-development brand. Members buy access and log in on both web and a native mobile app to follow courses, join the community, and book sessions. The owner must be able to manage everything herself from a simple dashboard. Very important: we want to fully own the app and never be locked into one developer or platform. The app must be built on common, well-documented technology so that any other React Native developer can take over maintenance in the future. What we need built: - Membership platform: users register, log in, and get access automatically after payment - Online course area (LMS): courses, lessons, downloadable materials, progress tracking - Community space where members interact with each other and the host - Native mobile app for iOS and Android, built in React Native (single codebase), published to the App Store and Google Play, white-label and client-branded - A responsive web version so members can also log in on a laptop - Payments via Mollie (Dutch payment provider), both one-time purchases and subscriptions - Self-service admin dashboard so the owner adds courses, members and content without a developer - Clean, professional, modern design Technical requirements (hard requirements): - The mobile app MUST be built in React Native (single codebase for iOS and Android). No proprietary app-builders, no no-code platforms, nothing that locks us in. - All source code delivered in a GitHub repository that WE own, including a clear README so any React Native developer can take over maintenance later. - Standard, well-documented, portable architecture. The backend (courses, members, community, payments) should run on a common stack that we can also host ourselves. WordPress is our preference for the backend, but we are open to your recommendation if it is equally portable and standard. - Full handover: source code, credentials, documentation, and a short walkthrough. Timeline: - Kickoff now. Fully built, tested and live in both stores by mid-September 2026. Please include in your proposal: - A fixed price for the full build, and separately the price for the mobile app + store publishing. - Your proposed timeline with milestones. - Links to similar community or LMS apps you have built, including live App Store and Google Play links we can open. - Confirmation that you will build in React Native and hand over full source code ownership in our own GitHub repository. - The backend you propose and why it is portable and easy for other developers to maintain. - Whether you handle the App Store and Google Play submission yourself. - An optional monthly maintenance and support package with its price. Screening questions: 1. Have you published a white-label community or LMS app, built in React Native, to BOTH the App Store and Google Play? Share live links. 2. How do you handle payments inside an iOS app given Apple's rules on in-app purchases? (We use Mollie.) 3. What recurring costs (developer accounts, hosting, any licenses) should we budget per month? 4. After delivery, could a different React Native developer maintain this app without any special access to closed systems? Explain how you guarantee that.
