We are looking for an experienced WordPress developer to troubleshoot and fix an existing LMS website where the layout and functionality became broken after a recent WooCommerce update.
This is primarily a **bug-fixing and compatibility issue**, not a complete website redesign.
Core Requirement:
The LMS layout was working correctly before the WooCommerce update, but after the update, several sections and layouts are no longer displaying or functioning correctly.
We need an experienced WordPress developer who can identify the root cause and restore the website without breaking the existing LMS, WooCommerce functionality, or design.
What You Will Do:
Diagnose the compatibility issue between WooCommerce and the existing LMS/theme/plugins.
Identify what changed after the WooCommerce update and why it affected the frontend layout.
Fix broken layouts, styling issues, spacing, templates, or functionality caused by the update.
Check for PHP, JavaScript, CSS, theme, and plugin conflicts.
Verify WooCommerce templates and any LMS-related customizations.
Ensure courses, lessons, student areas, checkout, account pages, and other LMS functionality continue working correctly.
Test the website across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Check for console errors and PHP errors after implementing the fix.
Ensure the solution is maintainable and does not rely on unnecessary workarounds.
Important:
We do **not** want the website rebuilt from scratch.
The priority is to understand the existing setup, locate the conflict introduced by the WooCommerce update, and fix the issue while preserving the current design and functionality.
Required Experience:
Strong WordPress debugging experience.
WooCommerce troubleshooting and compatibility fixes.
Experience working with LMS platforms and course-based websites.
Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, CSS, WordPress hooks, actions, and filters.
Experience troubleshooting theme/plugin conflicts.
Ability to work safely on a staging environment before making production changes.
Good understanding of WordPress updates and backward compatibility.
To Apply:
Please include:
1. A brief explanation of how you would troubleshoot a WooCommerce update that breaks an LMS layout.
2. 2–3 examples of WordPress/LMS websites you have worked on.
3. Your hourly rate or fixed-price estimate.
4. Your availability to start.
We are looking for someone who can solve the underlying problem rather than simply patching the visible layout issues.
If the initial fix goes well, there may be ongoing WordPress, WooCommerce, and LMS maintenance work.
