Voice AI Engineer needed for AI System

We are a U.S.-based consulting company building next-generation AI voice solutions. We develop high-end, human-like voice agents for professional clients who require reliability, empathy, and conversion-focused conversations. We are looking for an experienced Voice AI Developer / Conversation Designer to help us set up and refine realistic AI voice agents for client intake and appointment booking. ⸻ Responsibilities • Build natural-sounding AI Voice Agents (near human-level quality). • Implement conversation flows we provide (scripts & guidelines). • Connect the voice agent with calendaring tools (Google, Outlook, Calendly). • Create qualification steps (basic info capture, scheduling intent). • Integrate with SMS/email follow-ups. • Test, optimize, and refine for clarity, empathy, and professionalism. ⸻ Requirements • Strong experience with Voice AI platforms (e.g., Vapi.ai, PolyAI, ElevenLabs, OpenAI Whisper, or similar). • Background in Conversation Design or AI-driven voice assistants. • Ability to script and tune psychologically natural conversation flows. • Experience integrating with calendar + messaging tools. • Fluent English with U.S. linguistic/cultural nuance. ⸻ Nice to Have • Past experience building voice agents for professional services (healthcare, finance, consulting). • Familiarity with compliance for U.S. communication systems (A2P 10DLC, TCPA, HIPAA). ⸻ Engagement Details • Freelance/contract project on Upwork. • Multiple client setups expected (steady stream of work). • Typical setup timeline: 1–2 weeks per project. • Long-term collaboration preferred.
