WordPress Developer – Long-Term Contract (20–30 hrs/week)

We're a boutique web agency looking for a skilled WordPress developer for a dedicated, ongoing client engagement. This is real development work — new features, custom builds, integrations, and performance — not maintenance or small fixes. Hours will generally run 20–30 per week with some flexibility up or down depending on the client's sprint cycle. Looking for someone reliable, self-directed, and genuinely good at their craft. This is a long-term engagement, not a one-off project. What you'll be working on: - Custom WordPress theme development and ongoing feature work - Custom post types, ACF, and CMS architecture - Third-party API and CRM integrations - Performance, Core Web Vitals, and accessibility work - Custom content experiences — filterable archives, dynamic layouts, date-grouped feeds - Translating Figma designs into clean, precise builds What we're looking for: - 3+ years of hands-on WordPress development (not just theme editing — actual builds from scratch) - Strong PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - Clean, documented code and clear communication - Comfortable working inside an agency workflow with minimal hand-holding - Bonus: experience with WooCommerce, REST APIs, or headless WordPress Details: Rate: Depending on experience Remote, async-friendly Long-term engagement with consistent weekly hours Start: ASAP Important: Must be willing to work in Slack and be available to respond to client inquiries and requests within 24 business hours (EST). Projects do not need to be completed in that timeframe, but communication needs to happen promptly and professionally.
