Dekalb County WordPress/M365 Site Proposal

We're bidding on a government contract (DeKalb Public Health, Georgia) to build an employee intranet on WordPress for ~350 users across 12 divisions. If awarded, delivery is an accelerated 8-week sprint, likely starting around August 2026. WHAT I NEED YOU TO OWN (WordPress side) 1. Platform setup & configuration - Configure/administer the production WordPress instance - Set up core plugin stack, hosting environment coordination, security hardening 2. Custom page templates - Build standardized page templates for use across 12 different divisions (not just a theme install — actual template customization) - Support a consistent site map/navigation structure 3. Role- and group-based content permissions - Configure WordPress so different users/groups see different content once logged in (via a membership/restriction plugin or custom role mapping) - This is separate from login/authentication — it's what WordPress does with a user's identity once they're in 4. WordPress-side SSO integration - Install/configure the WordPress-side SAML or OAuth plugin (e.g., miniOrange, OneLogin, or similar) that connects to Microsoft Entra ID - Note: someone else is handling the Entra ID/identity-provider setup — I need you to own the WordPress side of that handshake and coordinate on how the two pieces connect 5. Content migration - Import content into WordPress from the client's existing SharePoint environment - Handle structure/metadata as cleanly as possible during the move 6. Media & document library - Organize a document/media library for forms, policies, procedures, SOPs - Support video embedding for training content 7. Specific features named in the contract - Interactive organizational charts - Room scheduling/booking integration - Fillable form interfaces (Adobe or JotForm)
