We're looking for an experienced backend/full-stack developer to build a document management module for our AI-powered legal platform. This project focuses on designing clean APIs, managing legal documents, and preparing the foundation for AI-driven document analysis. Responsibilities - Build secure REST APIs using Node.js (preferred) - Design PostgreSQL database schema for document and case management - Implement document upload and storage (PDF, DOCX, Images) - Extract document metadata and text for indexing - Organize documents by case and category - Implement document search and filtering - Generate signed URLs for secure document access - Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code Tech Stack - TypeScript - Node.js - PostgreSQL - Prisma ORM - AWS S3 (or compatible object storage) - Docker - Git Nice to Have - Experience building document management systems - OCR or PDF processing experience - AI/LLM integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.) - Vector databases or semantic search - LegalTech or Healthcare software experience - AWS infrastructure knowledge What We're Looking For - Strong backend engineering skills - Experience designing scalable REST APIs - Excellent database design knowledge - Clean architecture and code organization - Strong problem-solving skills - Good communication and attention to detail When Applying Please include: - A brief summary of your relevant experience - Similar projects you've built - Your preferred backend stack If we're a good fit, there will be opportunities to continue working on additional modules, including AI-powered legal document analysis, case management workflows, and automation features.
