E-commerce Platform Integration Engineer

The Role We need an engineer to connect our platform to Shopify, BigCommerce, and other major e-commerce platforms. The goal is to enable advertisers to import data seamlessly. The work includes setting up integrations, ensuring reliable data flow, and supporting smooth operation across platforms. We’re looking for someone who can handle API connections, troubleshoot issues, and help improve the overall integration experience. About Atrium Atrium is the easiest way to advertise with AI. We build the infrastructure that unifies every ad channel (Google, Meta, Streaming, Programmatic, and more) into a single, conversational marketplace. Instead of logging into a dozen fragmented dashboards, our users connect their accounts once and operate their entire media stack through chat and AI-driven automation. The Project We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build and maintain integrations connecting e-commerce and data platforms — including Shopify, BigCommerce, and similar systems — directly into Atrium's conversational interface. You will own the pipelines that pull product catalogs, audience data, and performance signals into our chat layer, so users can manage their advertising from a single conversation. What You Will Work On Build and maintain secure API integrations with Shopify, BigCommerce, and other e-commerce and data platforms Develop the data pipelines that sync product, audience, and conversion data into Atrium's chat interface in real time Expose integration functionality as chat-native commands so users can query, act on, and automate their data through conversation Collaborate closely with our founding team to expand connector coverage and maintain high reliability What We Are Looking For 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong TypeScript / Node.js background Experience building on Next.js App Router (full-stack, API routes, server components) Hands-on experience integrating with Shopify, BigCommerce, or similar e-commerce / data platform APIs Comfort with PostgreSQL, Supabase, OAuth flows, webhooks, and data sync patterns Familiarity with the Vercel AI SDK or LLM tool-use patterns is a strong plus A builder mindset — you work independently, write clean code, and take full ownership of your integrations Engagement Details Contract / project-based via Upwork Ongoing work with potential to expand scope over time Remote
