The role Keep our website secure, online, and improving. You'll be the sole technical person, working with non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities • Maintain and extend the custom PHP codebase; fix bugs across the member-facing site • Keep the site online: server health, SSL, backups, cron jobs (newsletters, digests, subscription renewals) • Support the subscription lifecycle — signup, eWAY payments, renewals, member access issues • Keep newsletters sending reliably and monitor email deliverability • Apply security patches and maintain protections around forms and payments What you need • Strong PHP and MySQL experience, including legacy codebases without a framework • HTML/CSS/SCSS and jQuery • Linux server basics: cron, SSL, logs, Git deployments • Payment gateway experience (eWAY or similar) a plus • Pragmatic and self-directed — careful with production, comfortable explaining technical trade-offs in plain language
