AI Automation Specialist (Claude Code) — Full-Time

The role in one line We're hiring one builder who can turn messy, manual agency and client work into reliable automations using Claude Code — wiring together APIs, databases, and dashboards so the team stops doing repetitive work by hand. This is not a "prompt engineer" seat. You ship working systems. You'll live inside Claude Code daily, own automations end to end, and be measured on what actually runs in production — not demos. What you'll do - Build and maintain AI-driven automations using Claude Code (skills, scripts, agents, MCP integrations). - Connect systems via API: pull data in, transform it, push it where it needs to go. Handle auth, rate limits, pagination, and errors without hand-holding. - Design and query databases (SQL and/or document stores) that back our automations and reporting. - Build and maintain dashboards that turn raw client/agency data into something a human can act on. - Take a manual process, map it, and replace it with a system that runs on a schedule or on demand. - Document what you build so the rest of the team can use and trust it. Must-have skills - Real dev ability. You can read, write, and debug code (Python and/or JavaScript). You're comfortable in the terminal and with git. Strong API fluency. REST and GraphQL, authentication flows, webhooks, working from raw API docs. - Databases. You can model data and write queries — joins, aggregations, and basic schema design. - Dashboards. Experience building reporting front ends or BI views that non-technical people use. - Self-direction. This is a solo build role. You scope, build, test, and ship without daily supervision. Bonus points - Hands-on with the Shopify API (Admin/Storefront, theme/Liquid, metafields). - Klaviyo experience (flows, campaigns, API, reporting). Comfort in Figma (reading designs, plugins, or design-to-build workflows). - Prior production use of Claude Code or similar AI coding agents. - E-commerce / agency background. How we'll evaluate you A short paid trial project: take a real manual workflow and automate it end to end. We care about working output, error handling, and clear documentation — not buzzwords.
