About Us We are a US-based e-commerce company managing 16 premium Italian and Mediterranean gourmet food brands across Amazon and other marketplaces, with a catalog of 600+ ASINs. Our operation runs across Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, and Faire, with fulfillment through both FBA and our own warehouse/FBM. Our team is distributed globally. We are looking for an AI Automation Specialist who can help us transform manual marketplace operations into automated workflows, dashboards, alerts, AI-assisted processes, and scalable internal systems. The Role We are hiring a hands-on AI Automation Specialist to analyze our current Amazon and marketplace operations and build automations that reduce or replace repetitive manual work. This is not a PPC role and not a basic “prompt engineer” role. We need someone who understands e-commerce operations, Amazon Seller Central workflows, APIs, data feeds, flat files, reporting, and AI tools well enough to design and build practical automations. The main objective of this role is to take the work currently handled by an Amazon Seller Central operations specialist and convert as much of it as possible into reliable, repeatable, monitored automation systems. You will be responsible for building tools that monitor account health, listing issues, catalog errors, inventory problems, Buy Box issues, FBA discrepancies, listing optimization opportunities, reporting workflows, and other marketplace operations across Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, Faire, StoreAutomator, SellerBoard, Helium 10/Data Dive, and related platforms. Mission of the Role Your mission is to create an automation layer across our marketplace operation so that the company can: Reduce manual Seller Central work Detect problems automatically before they become costly Generate alerts, reports, and recommended actions Automate repetitive catalog, listing, inventory, and reporting tasks Build AI-assisted workflows for decision-making and execution Create scalable systems that allow management to oversee operations without needing a full-time manual operator for every task What You Will Build Daily Marketplace Monitoring Automations Build systems that automatically monitor: Amazon account health Suppressed listings Stranded inventory Buy Box issues Pricing alerts Listing errors Catalog feed problems Inventory availability FBA/FBM fulfillment issues Brand Registry/IP issues Transparency program compliance The goal is to create alerts, dashboards, and action queues so management can see what requires attention without manually checking Seller Central every day. Listing Health & Catalog Integrity Automation Create tools to identify and flag: Suppressed ASINs Inactive listings Duplicate ASINs Broken variations Incorrect parent-child relationships Missing or incorrect images Missing bullets, titles, descriptions, backend keywords, or A+ content Catalog inconsistencies across Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, Faire, and StoreAutomator Backend search term gaps Indexing problems Product detail page issues You should be able to build workflows that compare listing data across channels and identify mismatches, missing content, or catalog risks. Amazon Flat File & Bulk Upload Automation Develop systems to support or automate: Flat file generation Variation creation Parent-child relationship fixes Theme corrections Bulk listing updates Catalog upload preparation Error detection and interpretation Bulk upload troubleshooting Variation merge/separation workflows The ideal candidate should understand Amazon flat files well enough to build templates, validators, and AI-assisted troubleshooting systems. AI-Assisted Seller Central Support Workflows Build AI-assisted processes to: Draft Seller Central support cases Summarize case history Track open cases Identify stalled cases Recommend follow-up language Organize documentation and screenshots Maintain a searchable case log Escalate unresolved issues The goal is to make support case management faster, more consistent, and less dependent on manual tracking. Amazon Transparency Program Automation Build workflows to help manage: Transparency code tracking Eligible product enrollment Label coordination Unit-level compliance Transparency-related listing or fulfillment issues Internal tracking reports The system should reduce manual checking and help ensure products enrolled in Transparency are handled correctly. Keyword Research & Listing Optimization Automation Build AI-assisted workflows for: Helium 10, Data Dive, or similar keyword data analysis Keyword gap detection Backend search term recommendations Indexing checks Listing copy improvement suggestions Title, bullet, and description optimization Conversion-focused copy review Priority ASIN listing audits This role does not own PPC, but it should help identify organic ranking and listing optimization opportunities. Multi-Channel Catalog Coordination Create automation and QA systems across: Amazon Walmart Shopify Faire StoreAutomator Internal spreadsheets/databases Warehouse/FBM workflows This includes detecting mismatched product information, pricing inconsistencies, listing gaps, SKU mapping problems, and marketplace-specific catalog issues. Inventory Planning & Forecasting Automation Build inventory tools that help monitor: FBA inventory levels FBM/warehouse stock Sales velocity Lead times Reorder points Stockout risk Overstock risk Inbound shipment status FBA receiving discrepancies Top SKU stock coverage The goal is to produce automated replenishment alerts and inventory forecasting reports for the supply chain and management teams. Reporting & Management Dashboards Create automated reports and dashboards for: Account health Catalog health Listing suppression Buy Box issues Inventory status Sales velocity Profitability indicators SellerBoard data FBA discrepancies Support case status Brand Registry/IP complaints New product launch readiness Reports should be clean, reliable, and management-friendly. Brand Registry & IP Monitoring Automation Build workflows to help identify and manage: Unauthorized sellers Counterfeit listings IP violations Brand Registry complaint opportunities Complaint tracking Evidence gathering Case follow-up reminders The ideal candidate can create systems that reduce the manual burden of monitoring marketplace threats. New Product Launch Automation Create repeatable workflows for: New listing creation Variation setup Flat file builds Launch checklist generation Listing content QA Keyword research Backend search terms Image/A+ content readiness Marketplace publishing status Post-launch issue monitoring Responsibilities Map our current manual Amazon and marketplace operations workflows Identify which tasks can be automated, semi-automated, or AI-assisted Build automations using APIs, scripts, no-code tools, AI tools, dashboards, and internal databases Integrate data from Amazon Seller Central, StoreAutomator, Walmart, Shopify, Faire, SellerBoard, Helium 10/Data Dive, spreadsheets, and internal systems Create monitoring systems with alerts, logs, and exception handling Build AI agents or AI-assisted workflows where appropriate Create reporting templates and dashboards for management Document all automations clearly so they can be maintained and improved Test automations carefully before deployment Maintain and improve existing automations over time Proactively suggest new automation opportunities Work independently with minimal supervision What We Are Looking For Required Experience 3+ years of experience building automations, internal tools, data workflows, or AI-assisted business systems Strong understanding of Amazon Seller Central operations Experience with Amazon catalog workflows, flat files, listing issues, variations, and inventory reports Experience working with e-commerce marketplace data Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, OpenAI API, or similar tools in real business workflows Experience with automation platforms such as Make, Zapier, n8n, Airtable, Retool, Google Apps Script, or similar Ability to work with APIs, webhooks, CSV files, spreadsheets, and structured data Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and reporting templates Ability to build dashboards, alerts, and recurring reports Strong written English for documentation and management communication Ability to understand business operations and convert them into automated workflows Technical Skills The ideal candidate should have experience with several of the following: Amazon Selling Partner API/SP-API Amazon Seller Central reports Amazon flat files StoreAutomator or similar listing management platforms Shopify API Walmart Marketplace workflows Airtable, Notion, Retool, or internal database tools Google Sheets and Google Apps Script Python or JavaScript SQL or database querying Make, Zapier, or n8n OpenAI API, Claude, or other LLM APIs Prompt engineering for structured business workflows AI agents and tool-based workflows Data cleaning and transformation Dashboard tools such as Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau, or similar Basic web scraping or browser automation where compliant and appropriate Error logging, alerting, and workflow monitoring Marketplace Knowledge The candidate should understand or be able to quickly learn: Amazon listing suppression issues Stranded inventory Buy Box suppression Pricing alerts FBA inbound shipment discrepancies Variation structures Parent-child ASIN relationships Backend keywords and indexing A+ Content Brand Registry Amazon Transparency Vine SellerBoard or profitability reporting tools Helium 10, Data Dive, or similar keyword tools Multi-channel catalog management What This Role Is Not This is not a PPC management role. This is not a basic virtual assistant role. This is not a role for someone who only knows how to manually use ChatGPT. This is not a pure software engineering role with no marketplace understanding. This is not a strategy-only role; we need someone who can actually build, test, and maintain automations. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is part automation engineer, part AI workflow builder, part Amazon operations analyst, and part systems thinker. You should be able to look at a repetitive manual process and ask: Can this be automated? What data source is needed? Can an API provide the data? Can AI classify, summarize, or recommend the next action? What should be fully automated versus human-reviewed? How do we prevent errors? How do we alert the team when something breaks? How do we make this process scalable? You should be comfortable working independently and turning messy operational workflows into clean, repeatable systems.
