i have an OpenWrt-based router that splits traffic between a standard WAN connection and a VPN tunnel based on a routing policy. 1-An automated test in Python/pytest to validate it: network characteristics (latency, jitter, loss, throughput on both paths) plus durability under stress — repeated reboots, thousands of concurrent sessions, VPN drop-and-recover cycles, and long soak runs. The tests must also verify that traffic genuinely leaves via the path the policy intend. Second, application-aware classification for Facebook and Instagram: browsing traffic stays on the WAN while video is routed through the tunnel. Facebook is separable by hostname. Instagram is not — its video and photos share both hostnames and IP addresses, so it has to be identified from flow behaviour. DNS and traffic analysis only; no TLS interception. Timeline and cost?
