Senior Full-Stack Next.js/TypeScript Engineer

Job Title: Senior Full-Stack Next.js/TypeScript Engineer – Production Refactor for Dual-Sided Marketplace (Paystack/Flutterwave Escrow) Job Description: About the Project: We have built a fully functional, interactive front-end prototype for ZexusApp; an online service marketplace fusing lead matching with instant one-off and milestone gig checkouts. The UI/UX, responsive components, and design system are completed in Next.js (App Router), React, and Tailwind CSS. We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to take this prototype, refine and enhance the codebase for production readiness, set up the backend database, and integrate payment/KYC workflows. Scope of Work (4-Phase Build): Phase 1 - Codebase Audit & Refactor: Migrate UI prototype into a production Next.js 14+ repository, clean up state management, and ensure optimal site-wide performance. Phase 2 - Database & Auth Setup: Implement PostgreSQL (via Prisma/Supabase) database schema for dual-user roles (Clients & Pros), multi-step milestone contracts, and JWT authentication. Phase 3 - Escrow & Payment Integration: Wire Paystack/Flutterwave enterprise APIs for 10% platform fee splits, milestone holding, and automated payout releases. Phase 4 - KYC & Real-time Messaging: Integrate identity verification hooks (NIN/BVN API) and Socket.io/Ably for direct client-to-pro messaging.
