AI Implementation Consultant

Hands-on and long-term. You will spend time understanding how we actually work, identify where AI creates the most leverage, and then build and implement those solutions. This is not a strategy or advisory engagement — we need someone who can design and execute. You will also run occasional training sessions with our team to build real AI literacy — not just surface-level tool familiarity. What You'll Be Doing Workflow Discovery Get to know our day-to-day processes across HR, finance, and operations Map manual workflows and identify the best automation targets Prioritise what to build first based on impact and feasibility Building & Implementing Design and deploy AI agents and automated workflows using Claude Code and the Anthropic API Help us build a persistent AI operating environment — embedded SOPs, a knowledge base, and department-level agents that compound over time Connect agents to the tools we already use (project management, accounting, CRM) Team Training Run practical training sessions with staff at varying experience levels Teach the team to work with agents — not just use Claude as a chat window Leave behind simple documentation so the team can maintain what you build Ongoing Input Check in regularly with the owner/director to review what's working and what to tackle next Help us think through AI as we grow and take on new operational functions Must-Have Skills Proven hands-on experience building with Claude Code and/or the Anthropic API — please share examples in your proposal Experience designing and deploying AI agents for real business workflows Ability to get your head around how a small business operates before jumping into building Clear communicator — you'll be working with non-technical staff as well as the director Reliable async worker — we move fast and need someone who can run independently between check-ins Nice to Have Experience integrating AI with project management or accounting platforms Previous work with small businesses rather than enterprise clients Background in operations, HR, or professional services Experience delivering staff training or workshops Engagement Details Working Style: Async-first with regular video check-ins. You must be comfortable getting context and working independently, not waiting to be told exactly what to do.
