Prompt Engineer Needed for AI SaaS Product Development

Part-Time Prompt Engineer / AI SaaS Workflow Assistant We are developing a new AI-assisted SaaS platform for the construction and compliance sector in the UK, and we are looking for a skilled Prompt Engineer / AI Workflow Assistant to work with us on a regular part-time basis. This role is for someone who genuinely understands software development, SaaS platforms, AI tools, and product workflows, but who will mainly be working as a prompt engineer and AI development assistant, rather than as the primary coding engineer. A strong understanding of modern SaaS development is important. Experience as a full-stack developer, software engineer, technical product assistant, or AI development specialist would be a significant benefit. What we need help with You will help us turn product ideas, workflows, and requirements into clear prompts, structured instructions, technical briefs, and AI-agent tasks. Typical work may include: * Writing and improving prompts for AI development tools * Creating clear instructions for Cursor, Codex-style agents, ChatGPT, or similar tools * Helping plan SaaS features, screens, workflows, and user journeys to improve UI and UX * Supporting AI-assisted development and documentation workflows * Reviewing AI-generated outputs for accuracy, logic, and completeness * Helping test prompts, workflows, and product logic * Supporting planning around authentication, user roles, permissions, databases, APIs, and SaaS architecture * Helping convert rough business ideas into clear technical or product instructions *QA help during all steps of the build Skills and experience required We are looking for someone with: * Excellent prompt engineering ability * Impeccable spoken/written English * Strong attention to detail * A genuine understanding of SaaS applications * Good knowledge of software development concepts * Experience working with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar * Understanding of frontend, backend, databases, authentication, APIs, hosting, and user permissions * Ability to think logically and structure complex ideas clearly * Good communication and reliability *Ability to work as part of the team Experience with any of the following would be a benefit: * React / Next.js * Supabase * Vercel * GitHub * SaaS product development * AI-assisted software development * Full-stack development Important note: We are looking for someone who understands how real SaaS products are planned and built, and who can help us use AI tools effectively during product development. You do not need to be the main software developer on the project, but you must be technically strong enough to understand development tasks, app logic, user flows, databases, authentication, permissions, and AI-assisted coding workflows.
