Lead Blockchain Engineer(Financial Infrastructure & Payments)

- About the Project We're building the $LAKE Crypto Card, a fintech platform that bridges digital assets with everyday payments. Our goal is to build secure, scalable financial infrastructure that combines wallet management, transaction processing, authorization, settlement, ledger systems, and modern payment workflows into a seamless user experience. The project is currently in the MVP stage, and we're looking for a Lead Software Engineer to help define the technical architecture, mentor engineers, and guide the platform from MVP to production. - What You'll Do As the Lead Software Engineer, you'll work closely with the founders and engineering team to define the platform's technical direction while contributing hands-on to development. You'll be responsible for designing scalable systems, reviewing architecture, improving engineering quality, and helping build a production-ready financial platform. Responsibilities - Lead the technical architecture and system design of the platform. - Design scalable backend services and APIs. - Define engineering standards and best practices. - Review and improve the MVP architecture. - Build and optimize transaction processing workflows. - Design ledger and reconciliation systems. - Collaborate with frontend, backend, and smart contract engineers. - Review code and mentor other engineers. - Improve platform security, performance, and reliability. - Help define the product's long-term technical roadmap. Required Qualifications - 8+ years of software engineering experience. - Experience leading engineering teams or technical projects. - Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript. - Experience designing scalable backend architectures. - Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and database design. - Experience with REST APIs and microservices. - Familiarity with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). - Experience building transaction-heavy or financial applications. - Excellent communication and technical leadership skills.
