AI Automation Engineer (Browser Agents, Workflow Automation, Python, Google Workspace)

We are seeking an experienced AI Automation Engineer to build an intelligent intake automation platform for a rapidly growing Medicare-certified home health agency. The goal is to eliminate repetitive manual intake tasks by combining AI document processing, browser automation, workflow orchestration, and human approval checkpoints. This is not a simple website project. We are looking for someone who has experience building AI agents and browser automation systems that can interact with third-party healthcare portals. This project has the potential to become a commercial SaaS platform after the internal version is complete. ________________________________________ Objectives Build an AI-powered Intake Automation System capable of: • Reading referral packets (PDFs, physician orders, clinical documents) • Extracting patient demographics • Identifying diagnoses • Reading insurance information • Identifying ordering physician • Determining ordered disciplines (RN, PT, OT, ST, MSW, HHA) • Identifying missing documentation • Assigning intake tasks automatically • Tracking intake progress • Automating repetitive browser tasks where appropriate • Keeping a human approval step before submissions ________________________________________ Browser Automation The system should be capable of browser-based automation including: • Logging into payer portals • Insurance eligibility verification • Authorization status lookup • Uploading documentation • Downloading confirmation pages • Saving authorization numbers • Updating workflow status The automation must be resilient to website changes and include retry/error handling. ________________________________________ AI Features We expect experience with: Large Language Models (GPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) OCR PDF parsing Structured data extraction Document classification Task planning Prompt engineering AI workflow orchestration Human-in-the-loop approval workflows Workflow Referral arrives via email or portal ↓ System takes the referral ID and access code, enter this information into the appropriate portal to log in. ↓ Download pdf document and index into referral folder ↓ Documents automatically analyzed ↓ Referral Log updated ↓ Referral accepted or declined via predetermined decision tree. ↓ Patient information extracted ↓ Missing documents identified ↓ Insurance eligibility verified through Availity Portal ↓ Authorization workflow created through Availity Portal ↓ Browser agent performs repetitive portal tasks such as creating a new patient in the EMR system, scheduling the first visit.
