We need solid, maintainable UI test coverage to catch regressions before releases and make sure the site behaves correctly across its core user flows. ### Scope of Work Write automated UI test cases using **Playwright with Python** covering: 1. **Homepage** - Page loads correctly, key sections render (industry browser, latest news, open roles) - Navigation links work ("View all →" for news and jobs) - Industry filter/browse functionality 2. **News section** (`/news`) - News listing loads and displays articles - Topic filters work correctly (General, Stock, Market, IPO — via `?topic=` query params) - Article links open correctly (external redirects to source) - Pagination / "load more" behavior (if present) 3. **Jobs section** (`/jobs`) - Job listings load and display correctly - Company, location, and role details render properly - External job links (e.g. Greenhouse boards) open correctly - Filtering by company/country/city (if available) 4. **Products & Pricing** (`/products`) - Page loads and displays data correctly 5. **General / Cross-cutting** - Responsive checks (desktop + mobile viewport) - Broken link / 404 checks on key nav items - Basic performance sanity checks (page load without errors) - Console error checks during navigation ### Deliverables - A Playwright (Python) test suite, organized in a clean, maintainable project structure (e.g. Page Object Model) - Config for running tests locally (`pytest.ini` / `conftest.py` / `playwright.config`) - A short README explaining how to install dependencies and run the test suite - A brief test report/summary of what's covered and any bugs found during test-writing ### Requirements - Proven experience with **Playwright (Python)** — please share samples of past test suites/repos - Comfortable with `pytest` fixtures and Page Object Model design - Experience testing real-world web apps (not just tutorials) - Good communication — async updates expected given the short timeline ### Nice to Have - Experience with CI integration (GitHub Actions) for running Playwright tests - Familiarity with testing data-heavy/filterable listing pages ## Project Type Fixed price, one-time project (potential for ongoing work if this goes well) ## Experience Level Intermediate ## Estimated Budget $150 – $300 USD (fixed price) — *adjust based on proposals received; open to discussing scope/price with the right candidate* ## Timeline / Duration 1 week from project start ## Screening Questions (for applicants) 1.
