Backend Developer (NestJS / Node.js), 30–40 hours/week

We're a small engineering team looking for a reliable mid-to-senior level developer to join us We need someone who can step in, get up to speed, and become a genuine part of the team. You'll be working closely with a small team: reviewing each other's code, discussing architecture decisions, and keeping things moving. We keep communication via Discord, preferably only in text in English. Stack: - Backend: Node.js / NestJS, DynamoDB, MySQL, Redis, OpenSearch Tools & workflow: - Jira for task management - GitHub for version control and pull requests - Discord for day-to-day communication What we're looking for: - Solid experience with NestJS and its ecosystem (modules, guards, interceptors, etc.) - Comfortable working with both SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases - Hands-on experience with Redis (caching, queues, or pub/sub) - Clean code habits: you'll be doing mutual code reviews with a peer, so you should enjoy that process - Mid-level to senior experience level Bonus points: - Experience working in small product teams - Comfortable with async, remote-first workflows Engagement details: - Hours: 20–40 hrs/week - Start: ASAP - Duration: Indefinite / long-term Include in your proposal: Describe how you imagine becoming a full member of the team, including communication with frontend developers (async) and what proactivity means for you as a backend developer.
