DTC Ecommerce Operations Specialist

Бюджет: $500.0 FIXED / ⭐ 1.13 (2) USA

woocommerce, php, plugin-customization, plugin-development

I run a direct-to-consumer ecommerce brand built on WooCommerce, and I’m looking for a reliable, technically strong operations specialist to own the day-to-day health of my site. This is not a marketing or ad-buying role. I need someone who keeps the entire backend running perfectly, catches and fixes issues fast, and builds out new functionality as the business grows. The most important quality I’m looking for: availability and fast communication during my business hours (Pacific Time, US). My current team is in a timezone that makes real-time problem-solving impossible, and that has cost me real money. When something breaks, I need someone who is awake, reachable, and able to act — not someone I hear back from the next day. What you’ll own day-to-day • Daily monitoring of the site to confirm everything is working — checkout, product pages, payment flow, tracking • Catching and resolving issues in real time before they cost sales (broken checkout, failed payments, plugin conflicts, caching issues, bot/security challenges blocking real customers) • Managing and updating WooCommerce — core, themes, and plugins — without breaking the site • Customizing and troubleshooting plugins • Maintaining and configuring FunnelKit — checkout pages, order bumps, upsells, and downsells • Setting up and managing subscription / recurring billing through FunnelKit • Configuring and maintaining CAPI / server-side tracking so marketing data stays accurate • Building a log/capture system of everyone who hits the site for SMS marketing purposes • Managing fraud-prevention tooling and security settings so they stop bad actors without blocking legitimate customers • Reviewing the existing setup and cleaning up redundant or conflicting configurations Building new things Beyond keeping the current setup running, I want a partner who can take an idea and execute it. As the business grows I’ll regularly want to add new features, funnels, integrations, and functionality to the site. You should be comfortable scoping a new idea, building it cleanly, testing it, and shipping it without me having to manage every step. The ideal person • Has genuinely run a WooCommerce ecommerce operation day-to-day — not just built sites, but owned uptime, payments, and problem-solving • Strong with WooCommerce, FunnelKit, payment gateway integrations, server-side tracking, and security/fraud tooling • Solid technical/development skills — can write and debug code, not just toggle settings • A clear communicator who documents what they do and explains issues in plain language • Proactive — tells me when something’s off and proposes the fix, rather than waiting to be told • Available and responsive during US Pacific business hours Logistics • Fixed weekly rate, roughly 20 hours/week to start • Starts as a 30-day trial — if it’s a strong fit, this becomes ongoing with room to grow To apply Don’t send a generic proposal. Tell me about a specific WooCommerce site you’ve operated, a real problem you diagnosed and fixed, and how quickly you typically respond when something breaks. Walk me through how you’d set up recurring subscriptions in FunnelKit connected to an external payment gateway — I want to see how you actually think.
