Enable SEO-Friendly URLs on AWS

My CMS refuses to activate its SEO add-on because URL rewriting is disabled on my AWS instance. I can log in over SSH but I’m not sure whether the machine is running Apache, Nginx, or another web server... (Budget: ₹600 - ₹1500 INR, Jobs: Apache, DevOps, Linux, Nginx, PHP, SEO, System Administration, Web Development)
