Full-Stack WordPress/WooCommerce Developer

We’re looking for a sharp full-stack developer to build out our new website on WooCommerce and become our go-to dev keeping it fast, secure, and always ready to take orders. This is two things in one: a focused build up front, then an ongoing relationship. If you do great work and communicate well, you’re our person for the long haul. This is an AI-first role. We expect you to use AI to work faster and smarter — generating and editing imagery, speeding up development, and solving problems. You should be a genuine power user, not a dabbler. You must already have an active paid Claude Code subscription and use it daily. Phase 1 — Build the new site • Build/finish a clean, high-converting WordPress site on WooCommerce + Elementor • Design and build our brand content page (the centerpiece — it needs to look amazing and tell our story) • Create and edit imagery with AI — generate visuals, retouch them, and composite in real product shots wherever AI gets the product wrong • Dial in product pages, cart, and checkout so the buying flow is flawless • Configure payment gateways and shipping so orders go through without a hitch • Fully mobile-responsive and fast-loading • Technical SEO basics — make sure Google can actually crawl and index us (proper indexing, meta, schema) • Set up analytics and tracking pixels (GA4, Meta, TikTok) Phase 2 — Ongoing “go-to guy” (the important part) • Keep the site updated, secure, and backed up • Monitor and fix anything that breaks — the order/checkout flow can never go down • Add new products, landing pages, and promos as we grow • Ongoing speed and performance tuning • Fast turnaround when urgent issues come up What you bring • Master-level with AI — you use it daily to move faster on code, design, and images, and you know how to get great output from it • Active paid Claude Code subscription (hard requirement — you should already be working this way) • AI image creation + editing — comfortable generating images and retouching/compositing in Photoshop or equivalent, including dropping in real product shots when AI gets them wrong • A real eye for front-end design — it can’t just function, it has to look great • Solid grasp of servers and backend — hosting, environments, deployment, and troubleshooting at the server level • Proven track record with WordPress + WooCommerce (we want to see live stores you’ve built) • Strong with Elementor, plus custom PHP / HTML / CSS / JavaScript when needed • Experience with payment gateways and shipping plugins • Technical SEO + site speed optimization • Analytics / pixel setup • Reliable, responsive, and easy to communicate with Nice to have • DTC / e-commerce brand experience • Conversion-rate optimization (CRO) chops • Familiarity with the Amazon / TikTok Shop ecosystem (not required)
