Independent Senior Laravel/Git Engineer for Code Review and Technical Report

We are seeking an independent senior software engineer to review a production Laravel codebase and prepare a concise signed technical report. The review concerns historical contributions made by a former contractor. We have already completed an internal Git-authorship audit and substantial code cleanup. The selected engineer will independently verify the current production position using read-only access to the repository, Git history, deployment information and existing audit outputs. The principal questions are: - Does the production platform materially rely on the identified historical code? - Does any code authored or co-authored by the identified contributor remain in production? - If so, is that code material to the operation or commercialisation of the platform? - Could any remaining identified code be removed or replaced without material disruption? - Is a discontinued trade-copier module deployed, commercially offered or required by the current production platform? Expected work: - identify and record the exact production version reviewed; - inspect the Git history and existing authorship-audit results; - review files and surviving lines attributed to the contributor; - distinguish active application code from migrations, generated files, dependencies and inactive components; - assess the operational importance of any remaining identified code; - document the methodology, commands, findings and limitations; - produce a clear signed PDF report with a short executive conclusion and supporting technical details. The report should address technical facts only. No legal opinion on copyright, ownership or liability is required. Required experience: - strong PHP and Laravel experience; - advanced practical knowledge of Git and GitHub; - ability to understand an established production codebase; - familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and deployment workflows; - strong written English and technical-documentation skills; - willingness to sign the final report and provide a short professional biography or CV; - willingness to confirm independence and absence of conflicts. Preferred but not required: - previous code-review or technical due-diligence work; - experience analysing Git contribution or authorship history; - previous preparation of formal client-facing technical reports; - software-audit or forensic-development experience.
