Data Annotation & GIS Operator (Part-Time)

Role We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Annotation & GIS Operator to support our AI training and asset management workflows. This is a long-term, part-time position for approximately 16 hours per week. Responsibilities Review video footage captured in public spaces. Detect and identify infrastructure objects such as: - Light poles - Traffic signs - Street furniture - Road markings Create accurate bounding boxes around detected objects (in Roboflow or similar). Annotate damages and classify damage severity according to our guidelines. Match detected objects to their real-world locations in GIS environments - QGIS, ArcGIS or similar - using satellite imagery, map data and Google street view. Assist with data quality control and validation. Support automation and workflow improvements where possible. Requirements Essential: Serious hardware, including video capture card Experience with GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS, or similar). - Experience with data annotation, computer vision datasets, or image/video labeling. - Strong attention to detail and consistency. - Fluent English (written and spoken). - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Available for a minimum of 16 hours per week. Preferred Skills - Python programming experience. - Experience with geospatial data and asset management systems. - Experience with AI, machine learning, or computer vision projects. - Familiarity with infrastructure, mapping, or municipal asset inventories.
