Hi, my name is Dmytro. I’m scaling my development projects and looking for an experienced WordPress engineer to join me. I work exclusively with the Roots ecosystem, so I’m looking for someone who treats theme development like software engineering—not just "site building."
My workflow is built on Bedrock for project structure and Sage 11 (Vite) for frontend. I value clean, component-based architecture, and I need someone who shares these standards.
What you will be working on:
- Architecting custom themes using Sage 11 and Blade.
- Engineering modular Gutenberg blocks via wp acorn acf:block.
- Reusing UI elements by creating partials (e.g., using log1x/acf-composer).
- Managing project dependencies via Composer.
- Writing clean, performant, and type-safe code.
Requirements:
- Expert-level knowledge of Sage 11, Bedrock, and Acorn.
- Deep experience with Composer and log1x/acf-composer.
- Ability to demonstrate modular architecture (partials, services, view composers).
- Passion for clean, version-controlled code.
- Huge Plus: Experience with Trellis for server provisioning and deployment.
The "Full-Width CTA" Challenge (Application Process):
To make sure we are a great fit, please provide a link to a repository or Gist containing a Full-Width CTA block implementation. Your example must demonstrate:
- Block Class: app/Blocks/FullWidthCta.php using FieldsBuilder to define the Title, Text, and Button.
- Partial: The Button implemented as a reusable partial (wp acorn acf:partial Button).
- Blade Template: resources/views/blocks/full-width-cta.blade.php rendering the Title, Text, and the Button partial.
- Composition: How you correctly inject the Button partial into the main Block fields.
I am looking for a professional engineer, not just a WordPress user. Generic proposals will be ignored.
