Senior Backend & AI Engineer for LLM Agent Orchestration

We are looking for an experienced Applied AI Engineer to design and deploy an autonomous “Agentic AI” system. Instead of a simple chatbot, we need an intelligent, multi-step agent capable of reasoning, interacting with external APIs, and executing backend workflows automatically without human intervention. This agent will act as the core orchestration engine for our data processes, requiring a robust Python architecture and seamless API integrations. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and develop a custom Agentic AI workflow using Python and modern LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar). - Equip the AI agent with custom “tools” (function calling) to extract data, interact with web endpoints, and write to our databases. - Build a secure, high-performance FastAPI backend to handle the agent’s requests and serve the outputs. - Ensure the AI’s decision-making loop is deterministic, fault-tolerant, and logs all automated actions cleanly. - Integrate and normalize complex data pipelines (ETL) for the AI to process. Required Skills & Technologies: - Advanced Python development (focus on backend and automation). - Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLM orchestration, and prompt engineering. - Experience with Agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or custom routing). - FastAPI and REST API development. - Data engineering fundamentals (JSON parsing, PostgreSQL, data normalization).
