Linux / Ubuntu DevOps Testers Needed – Install and Review Heka Insights Agent ($5 Fixed Price) Job Overview We are looking for 100 Linux and Ubuntu users with basic DevOps experience to install and test our Heka Insights Agent on their own machine or test environment. This is a short, fixed-price testing task designed to help us validate the installation experience across different Linux environments, gather practical feedback, and identify any usability or compatibility issues before wider release. This task is also suitable for freelancers with newer Upwork accounts who have Linux, Ubuntu, cloud, infrastructure, or DevOps knowledge. Payment $5 USD fixed price per successfully completed test and feedback submission. Payment will be released after the installation test is completed and the required feedback is submitted. What You Will Do Download the Heka Insights Agent release package from the GitHub release page. Install the agent on your Linux machine, Ubuntu server, VM, VPS, or local test environment. Follow the installation instructions in the repository README.md and release notes. Confirm whether the agent installed and started successfully. Share honest feedback about the installation process and documentation. Report any errors, unclear instructions, missing dependencies, service-start problems, or usability concerns. The task should generally take approximately 15–30 minutes, depending on your Linux experience and environment. You must be comfortable running Linux commands and reviewing terminal output. Honest feedback is required. A successful installation is useful, but installation problems and documented errors are equally valuable. Do not share passwords, SSH private keys, production credentials, API keys, or sensitive company data. Screenshots or copied terminal output are appreciated when an error occurs. Please do not install the agent on a production system unless you are authorized and comfortable doing so.
