Magento 2 Dev, Immediate Start: Fix Broken Checkout (White Screen), Then Version Upgrade Support

Thanks for viewing: We run a live Magento 2.4.7 ecommerce store (CO2 special effects equipment, US-based) with a Hyva theme and approximately 30 third-party modules across 9 vendors. We have a dedicated development/staging server that mirrors production. All work is built and tested on staging first, then pushed to live after approval. That workflow is non-negotiable and you’ll be expected to keep it. Priority 1 (immediate): Our checkout is currently showing a white screen and is not functional. This is a live revenue issue. First task is to diagnose the root cause (logs, JS console, module conflicts, Hyva checkout compatibility), fix it on staging, verify the full checkout and payment flow in sandbox mode, and deploy to production. Should be a quick take easy fix as this just broke today. Priority 2 (following): Support and QA around a Magento 2.4.7 to 2.4.8 upgrade, including PHP version alignment, Elasticsearch to OpenSearch migration, extension compatibility review across the 30 modules, and Hyva theme upgrade with frontend fixes. This task needs to be quoted to me first and worked accordingly within quick timeframe allotted. Requirements: • Immediate start (within 2 hours of hire) • Available for communication and work between 6am and 6pm PST • Strong Magento 2.4.x debugging experience, checkout and payment flow specifically • Hands-on Hyva theme experience (state this explicitly in your application, applications without it will be declined) • Comfortable with OpenSearch, Composer, Elasticsearch and command-line Magento operations (must have) • You provide an hours estimate per task before starting work; overages require approval in advance In your application, include: 1. A specific example of a checkout failure you diagnosed and fixed, and what the root cause was 2. Your Hyva experience (builds, upgrades, or customization) 3. Your hourly rate and confirmed availability in the 6am-6pm PST window 4. How quickly you can start We’re looking for someone who communicates directly, states what they don’t know, and gives realistic estimates.
