**Python/Playwright Web Scraping Engineer — Hotel Rate Monitoring Tool, Production Build** I'm looking for an experienced Python developer to build a production-grade rate monitoring tool for the hospitality industry. **What you'll build:** A robust, scalable scraper that collects publicly visible hotel pricing data from major travel websites and aggregates it into a clean, queryable dataset. The tool will monitor rates across ~50 properties and multiple booking channels on a scheduled basis. **Tech stack:** - Python + Playwright (or equivalent) - Handling of dynamic/JS-rendered pages - Rotating proxies / anti-detection best practices - Data storage (PostgreSQL or similar) - Scheduling (cron, Celery, or equivalent) - Clean output: JSON or database records per property/date/rate **Requirements:** - Strong portfolio of production scraping projects - Experience with dynamic content extraction and anti-bot environments - Familiarity with the travel or hospitality data space is a plus - Ability to deliver maintainable, documented code - Available for ongoing maintenance and updates **Deliverables:** - Fully working scraper for 4 booking channels, 50 properties - Scheduling and error handling built in - Documentation and handover This is a serious production build, not a prototype.
