Senior Full-Stack Developer for Legal Document Automation MVP | DOCX/PDF, Forms, Supabase

We are looking for a senior full-stack developer to build a bilingual English/Spanish legal document automation MVP. This is not a simple landing page or basic form project. We need someone who can build a secure workflow where users answer guided questions, the system applies conditional logic and validation rules, and the answers are mapped into DOCX/PDF legal document outputs. The first phase is a strong functional Version 1 foundation that can later grow into a larger legal tech platform without rebuilding the core architecture. What we already have: - Mapped questionnaire content - Legal form materials already converted into DOCX - A clear Version 1 product direction - Legal review and rules from the legal team - Existing notes around login, save/resume, validation and future platform features What we need you to build: - Clean project setup inside a client-owned GitHub repository - User signup/login - Save and resume workflow - Basic user dashboard - Guided questionnaire flow - Conditional logic based on user answers - Validation rules for incomplete or inconsistent answers - Data model for users, cases and documents - DOCX/PDF document generation from user answers - Secure storage for user data and generated documents - English/Spanish-ready questionnaire structure using clean i18n/localization - Setup notes and handoff documentation for future developers Required experience: - Senior full-stack development experience - Next.js / React - Python FastAPI or Node.js backend - PostgreSQL, Supabase or similar database experience - Authentication and user account systems - Complex form workflows - Conditional logic and validation rules - DOCX/PDF generation from structured data - Secure file storage - GitHub-based development workflow - Deployment experience Strong plus: - Legal tech experience - Document automation experience - Docassemble, Gavel, document assembly or form automation experience - Supabase experience - AWS S3 or secure cloud storage experience - i18n / bilingual application experience - Spanish language familiarity - Experience working with sensitive user data Important notes: - Legal logic and final legal wording will be provided and reviewed by the legal team. - The developer is not expected to provide legal advice. - Spanish fluency is helpful but not required. However, you must know how to build a clean bilingual app structure where English and Spanish text can be managed separately while using the same backend data model. - All code must be developed inside a client-owned GitHub repository. - API keys, credentials and private user data must not be committed to GitHub. We are looking for someone who can move quickly but still build the foundation correctly. The ideal first step is a 5–7 day functional foundation, followed by a more complete Version 1 MVP.
