1. Data Collection Connect to the NYC Open Data (Socrata) API. Import permit data automatically. Store data in a MySQL database. 2. Lead Filtering Filter commercial permits. Exclude residential projects where appropriate. Support filtering by permit type (New Building, Alteration, etc.). 3. AI / Classification The system should classify permits into categories such as: CCTV Access Control HVAC Fire Alarm Low Voltage A rule-based classifier is acceptable for the MVP. OpenAI integration can be implemented if it clearly improves the results. 4. Admin Dashboard Build a clean Laravel admin dashboard (Laravel Filament preferred) with: Search Filters Lead details Status management Export to CSV 5. Landing Page Create a professional responsive landing page including: Company overview Services offered Contact and consultation request form Project gallery featuring completed work performed by our partner contractors Mobile-friendly layout Basic on-page SEO Links to phone, email, and other contact channels -Use the NYC Open Data Socrata API as the primary data source instead of web scraping whenever possible. -Use Laravel Filament for the admin dashboard to provide a modern administration interface. -Use a hybrid classification approach: First, classify permits using rule-based logic (keywords/regex). -Use OpenAI only for uncertain or ambiguous cases to improve accuracy while keeping API costs low. -Store data in MySQL using appropriate indexes and unique constraints to prevent duplicate permit records and ensure efficient searches.
