AI Automation Engineer (WordPress, Python, Cloudflare, LLM Systems)

We are looking for a highly capable Full-Stack Engineer with strong experience in automation, infrastructure, and AI-assisted development workflows. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys building systems that scale across multiple web properties, and is comfortable working at the intersection of backend engineering, DevOps, and AI-driven automation. About the Role We operate a large network of content-driven websites supported by automated publishing pipelines, email distribution systems, and ad monetization infrastructure. Our stack includes WordPress-based properties, Python automation services, Cloudflare edge logic, and custom internal tools that integrate with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.). We are currently expanding our engineering capacity to improve: - Traffic integrity and invalid traffic (IVT) detection systems - Edge-based ad suppression and decisioning logic (Cloudflare Workers / headers / cookies) - Automated content generation and publishing pipelines (Python → WordPress) - Infrastructure observability across 20+ web properties - Email-driven content distribution systems at scale Internal tooling for operations and reporting What You’ll Work On - Build and maintain Python-based automation services that integrate with APIs and LLMs - Develop systems that ingest structured and unstructured data and output validated workflows (JSON-schema driven pipelines) - Work with WordPress at scale (custom themes, ACF, REST API integrations, database optimization) - Support infrastructure running on Linux servers (Linode/AWS), including Nginx, Redis, cron jobs, and system services - Contribute to Cloudflare-based edge logic for traffic classification and ad decisioning - Help design and improve automated content publishing systems that generate and distribute thousands of articles monthly - Build internal dashboards and control-plane tools for monitoring multiple sites and campaigns You are someone who: - Has strong experience with Python and/or TypeScript for backend systems - Understands WordPress deeply (not just as a CMS, but as a system to be extended and automated) - Has worked with APIs at scale and is comfortable integrating multiple services - Has exposure to DevOps concepts (Linux servers, logging, caching layers, Nginx, Redis) - Understands web traffic, bots, scraping, or fraud detection concepts (or is willing to learn quickly) - Has experience with LLM APIs or AI-assisted development workflows (Cursor, Copilot, Claude, etc.) - Can operate independently and translate loosely defined requirements into structured technical solutions Nice to Have - Experience with Cloudflare Workers or edge computing - Familiarity with ad tech, IVT, or traffic quality systems - Experience building internal tooling or developer platforms - Knowledge of email delivery systems or ESP integrations - Experience working with high-volume content publishing systems How We Work - Small, fast-moving engineering environment - Heavy use of AI tools for development acceleration - High autonomy with clear ownership of systems - Focus on automation, efficiency, and reducing manual operations - Async-friendly communication with structured task tracking (e.g., Trello)
