Senior Automation Engineer & Fraud Detection Engineer

This role requires a minimum of 10 years of hands-on engineering experience, with a substantial track record in both automation engineering and fraud detection. We are looking for proven senior depth, not breadth on paper. Candidates without demonstrable experience at this level will not be considered. We are looking for a senior automation and fraud detection engineer to own and strengthen our automation, integration, and security stack, with particular attention to how we detect and prevent fraud across our systems. You will work alongside our in-house IT team as the senior voice on architecture, reliability, scalability, and our fraud and abuse defences. You should bring deep, hands-on seniority in automation engineering, with strong working knowledge of NodeJS, browser based automation with Playwright or Puppeteer, API integrations, and automated data and reporting pipelines. Equally important is real depth in fraud detection: anomaly detection, transaction and behavioural monitoring, risk scoring, bot and automation abuse, account integrity, and the authentication, access control, and logging that underpin all of it. What you would own: NodeJS service architecture and reliability, integration patterns with marketing and reporting APIs, automated data and reporting pipelines, QA and browser automation in authorised internal workflows, and the fraud detection and security layer across the whole stack. You will identify where our exposure to fraudulent activity sits, improve how well our controls catch it, and set the priorities for closing gaps as we scale.
