Senior Backend Architect for Logistics Platform [No Agencies]

We are looking for a highly experienced Backend Architect / Tech Lead to lead the architecture and development of a scalable ride-based logistics platform similar to Porter. Role Overview The candidate will be responsible for architecting and leading the development of a high-scale logistics and mobility platform capable of handling: Real-time ride allocation Driver-partner management Route optimization Live tracking Dynamic pricing High concurrent booking requests Payment and wallet systems Notification and communication systems Scalable microservices infrastructure The ideal candidate should have strong experience in designing distributed backend systems using Node.js and modern backend technologies, with some services optimized using Fastify for high performance. Key Responsibilities Architect end-to-end backend systems for a logistics/mobility platform Lead backend engineering team and define technical roadmap Design scalable microservices and event-driven architecture Build highly available APIs and real-time systems Implement optimized services using Node.js + Fastify Design database architecture for scale and fault tolerance Lead deployment and DevOps planning on AWS/GCP Ensure performance, security, observability, and scalability Build systems for: Order allocation and dispatch Driver tracking and geolocation ETA prediction Ride lifecycle management Surge pricing Fleet management Payment systems Admin analytics and monitoring Conduct code reviews and mentor developers
