Travelgate FASTX OTA Performance Optimization – Search & Room Details Speed Improvements

We are looking for an experienced Laravel and travel-tech developer to further optimize the performance of our hotel booking platform. Our website: www.feriendeals.ch Background Our platform is connected to multiple hotel suppliers through Travelgate FASTX, including: Hotelbeds RateHawk TBO Restel WebBeds A significant amount of optimization work has already been completed by our current developer. This is not a greenfield project and we are not looking for a basic performance audit. We are looking for a developer who can both identify the remaining bottlenecks and implement the necessary optimizations. Current Performance Issues Hotel Search Results Currently, hotel search results take approximately: 8–10 seconds to appear after a search is submitted. Major OTAs typically achieve: 3–5 seconds for similar searches. Hotel Listing → Room Details The transition from the hotel listing page to the room details / room selection page currently takes approximately: 8–10 seconds Major OTAs typically achieve: 0–2 seconds for this step. This is currently one of our biggest concerns. Work Already Completed The current developer has already implemented extensive optimizations, including: Database indexing Redis caching Elasticsearch search improvements Travelgate response caching Removal of blocking image validation calls Lazy loading AJAX optimizations Prefetching HTTP/2 Brotli compression OPcache tuning PHP-FPM tuning Query optimization Server optimization A detailed technical performance report will be provided to shortlisted candidates. Scope of Work The selected developer will be expected to: Review the current implementation. Identify the remaining performance bottlenecks. Measure and benchmark all critical flows. Optimize the hotel search flow. Optimize the hotel listing → room details flow. Optimize Travelgate FASTX interactions where applicable. Optimize room loading, room images, and amenities loading. Improve caching strategy where necessary. Optimize frontend and backend performance. Implement all recommended changes. Validate and document the improvements. This is not an audit-only project. The selected developer must be able to both diagnose and implement the improvements.
