AI Automation Engineer to Build AI Operations Layer for Real Estate Company (Agents + Automation + API Integrations) Please provide an approximate cost range based on review of scope of work Project Overview We operate a technology-forward real estate company based in Columbus, Ohio with three vertically integrated businesses: • Property Management • Real Estate Brokerage • Construction / Renovation Our current technology stack includes: • AppFolio – property management system • Rent Engine – leasing and lead management • Findig – rental application screening and approvals • Property Meld – maintenance management with AI diagnosis • Monday.com – internal workflow and project management We want to build an AI-powered operations layer that connects these systems and automates workflows across the business. This system will run on a dedicated Mac Mini server and use modern automation and AI frameworks. The goal is to create AI agents that monitor operations, automate workflows, and generate insights across leasing, maintenance, investor reporting, and deal analysis. Project Goals We want to build an AI Operations Hub that can: • Integrate with our existing software systems • Automate operational workflows • Run AI agents that analyze business data • Generate daily operational intelligence reports • Assist our team with decision-making The system should be modular and scalable so new automations and agents can be added over time. Maintenance Advisor Agent Reads Property Meld tickets and suggests vendor, urgency level, and estimated cost (team retains final decision). Lease Renewal Intelligence Identifies leases expiring within 90 days, below-market rents, and tenant payment history to suggest renewal strategies. Owner Report Generator Automatically generates weekly property performance updates for property owners. Vendor Performance Analyzer Ranks vendors based on response time, repair time, and cost trends. Deal Finder Agent Identifies potential investment opportunities based on defined acquisition criteria. Executive Operations Dashboard Generates daily operational briefings including leasing metrics, maintenance status, and portfolio alerts.
