Backend Engineer – Ledger, Payments & Transaction Systems

We are building a modern payments platform that enables users to fund accounts, manage balances, track transactions, and spend through a payment card. The platform combines financial infrastructure, transaction processing, ledger systems, and real-time account management into a seamless user experience. We are currently in the MVP stage and are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to help build and scale the core platform infrastructure. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy designing reliable systems, building APIs, solving complex data problems, and working on transaction-heavy applications. Responsibilities - Design and develop backend services using Node.js and TypeScript - Build scalable APIs and microservices - Design efficient database schemas and queries - Implement transaction and balance management logic - Integrate external service providers and APIs - Improve platform performance and reliability - Review and improve existing MVP architecture - Collaborate closely with frontend engineers and founders - Participate in technical planning and architecture discussions
