Experienced Google Cloud & Front-End Developer Needed for Platform Migration & UI Refresh

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced developer to assist in a critical upgrade and migration project for our web platform. This project involves a three-phase approach, spanning design implementation and cloud infrastructure management. We are looking for someone with strong proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and modern front-end development. Scope of Work The project is divided into three distinct phases: Phase 1: UI Refresh - Implement a new UI/UX refresh (this is not a full redesign, but changes to layout and colours) across the platform to resolve visual inconsistencies and improve usability. - Update core components, spacing, and typography to align with modern design standards. - Ensure high-resolution asset rendering across all key screens. Phase 2: Google Cloud Implementation & Code Optimisation - Audit and optimise existing codebase on Google Cloud. - Implement best practices for GCP resource management. - General improvements Phase 3: Domain Migration (this will be a separate scope item) - Manage the technical transition of the platform from the current domain to a new domain. - Ensure zero downtime, proper DNS configuration, and seamless - SSL/certificate handling during the move. - Verify that all backend services and API endpoints are correctly mapped to the new environment. Requirements - Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Proven experience in cloud architecture, environment configuration, and deployment pipelines. - Front-End Development: Expertise in modern UI frameworks (please specify your stack, e.g., Node) and the ability to translate design files into clean, maintainable code. - Migration Experience: Previous experience handling domain migrations and infrastructure changes on GCP. - Communication: Ability to work collaboratively, document changes, and provide clear progress updates.
